This felt painting is inspired by the walled garden within Heywood Gardens Estate, Co. Laois.
My husband and I visited the gardens in the summer of 2022 on a gloriously warm and sunny day. I particularly liked the walled circular garden full of roses, its seclusion and stillness and yet the sound of buzzing bees. Gardens provide space for us to pause and take in the beauty of nature. Summers come and go but the memories remain.
This giclée print is produced from a high-resolution scan of the original felt painting, using quality ultra-chrome pigment inks. It is printed on pH-neutral art paper.
