  • A vibrant seascape print of the Forty Foot Bathing place in Sandycove, County Dublin, once exclusively a gentleman's swimming club, on a lovely summer's day, with bathers diving into the cool blue ultramarine waters of Sandycove.

The Forty Foot is featured in a number of prominent Irish novels including James Joyce’s Ulysses and Brian O’Nolans “At-Swim-Two-Birds”. In Ulysses, one character describes the sea around the Forty Foot as “the snotgreen sea”. However, it hasn't deterred the many Dubliners who brave it's icy waters all year round!
