A painting of customers inside The Celt Pub on Talbot Street, Dublin in early afternoon. The Celt is a rustic traditional bar full of higgledy piggledy rooms and nooks and crannies where Irish Traditional music is played seven nights a week. Painted with acrylics on a stretched canvas.
Sean Treacy one of the leaders of the Third Tipperary Brigade a unit of the Irish Republican Army was shot by British agents on Talbot Street in October 1920. Throughout the decades after his death there were a number of attempts to rename Talbot Street 'Sean Treacy Street' however the residents of Talbot Street rejected the proposal to change the name of the street in 1943.
