  • The Shelbourne on Stephens Green, one of the most famous and historical hotels in Dublin, was built in 1824 and still retains its old world charm and makes for a wonderful architectural study. It was recently refurbished and now boasts to being the largest 5 star hotel in Dublin. This painting tries to capture some of the wonderful architectural facade of the front of the building and it's ornate wrought iron porch entrance.

Adolf Hitler’s half brother Alois worked for a time in the Shelbourne in the 1900’s. The hotel has a nickname “The Grand Old Lady of Stephen’s Green” and she has hosted many famous guests over the years including the legendary Irish tenor Count John McCormack, along with the world renowned Egyptian actor Omar Sharif and singer Celine Dion (whom incidentally was presented with a copy of this print before one of her shows in Las Vegas in 2018)
