  • The original of this painting hangs in The Old Stand pub which is on the corner of Exchequer Street and St Andrew Street, Dublin. There has been a licensed premises here for nearly 300 years and it is named after the old stand at Landsdowne Road, the former venue for Irish rugby internationals, and the pub itself has a long association with the game and is a popular pub for rugby players and rugby fans alike.

The street on which the Old Stand sits was known as Hog Hill in medieval times
