Eadaoin Harding Kemp graduated in painting with drawing and etching from the Crawford Municipal School of Art in 1977. That same year she was awarded the accolade of Cork Arts Society Student of the Year. Eadaoin has taken part in many solo and group shows both nationally and internationally since then. Her work can be found in private collections throughout Europe, USA, Canada, Korea, North Africa and Australia and in the public collections of the Office of Public Works, Allied Irish Banks and the Korean Ambassador to Ireland.

Although born in Dublin, Eadaoin has now been living in West Cork for the past twenty five years and the rugged, colourful landscape and wild coastline of  the Beara peninsula is a constant source of inspiration to her. Eadaoin’s work explores her relationship with the landscape, its colours, light, memories and breaking the landscape down into its simple components. Her rustic landscapes and cool seascapes are evocative and alluring, abundant with rich colours and soft tones that provoke both contemplation and reminiscence in the viewer.

On painting, Eadaoin says “it is as natural a part of my life as breathing, my work which is varied in subject matter is about what I love and feel emotionally strongly about.
